The (Totally True) Legend of Black Jack’s Rum Bar & Grille
It all started centuries ago on a stormy night when Black Jack - pirate, master chef, and part-time treasure hunter - escaped from the Bermuda Triangle on a flamingo-shaped raft made of grilled cheese sandwiches. Legend says the gods cursed him with an insatiable hunger for two things: the perfect burger and the finest rum. Armed with a spatula forged from Poseidon’s trident and a rum stash “borrowed” from mermaids (who apparently make the best rum), Jack washed up on the shores of South Florida. His mission? To change the world, one bite at a time.
Once ashore, Jack’s culinary magic quickly made waves. His burgers were so perfectly cooked they’d sizzle in a hurricane. Scientists blamed Florida’s heatwave in ’84 on the lingering aroma of his steaks. And his Monster Burger was so massive, it’s rumored to be the real reason they had to rewrite the definition of gravity.
Black Jack’s rum collection was so vast, even Captain Jack Sparrow tried to steal it but failed. One rum is rumored to be distilled by monks who found the secret to eternal happiness - right before vanishing into the jungle with Jack in hot pursuit. Every bottle has a story, and if you drink enough, you’ll start sharing your own (most of them probably true).
Gustavo, Black Jack’s talking parrot and self-proclaimed “King of Cocktails,” is still behind the bar. He’s been bartending since the 1700s and once made a rum punch so strong, it convinced a shipload of sailors they could walk to Cuba. And they tried. He’s also the genius behind the flaming rum punch (don’t ask why it’s on fire, just drink it).
Today, Black Jack’s Rum Bar & Grille serves up food fit for Neptune, himself. One bite of our fish & chips might bring back memories from a past life. Our burgers? So big and juicy, you’ll need two hands and a nap. Our steaks are so tender, even your fork will cry. And our rum collection? Big enough to fill a pirate ship. And still leave room for Gustavo.
Come hungry, come thirsty, and get ready to be part of a legend so wild, you’ll swear we made it up.
